I am married with 2 dogs and a bubbly baby boy.

I am a Law & Order: SVU junkie.

If I had tons of land, I would have a million dogs.

Spaghetti is my favorite food.

I always wanted to be a firefighter.

 

Yep, you read that right. Growing up, I thought I would be a firefighter. But, somewhere around my freshman/sophomore year of high school, I received my first little red camera and started taking pictures of anything and everything (mostly the shenanigans my friends and I got into.)

 

Still,  it took until the beginning of my junior year for me to realize that even though I grew up in the Texas heat, it was NOTHING compared to the heat that firefighters run into at almost every shift.

It was then that my focus started shifting to photography. For Christmas that year, I received my first REAL camera (which I still have to this day) and my love of photography took off. It started with photos of the band (yep, I'm a bonafide band nerd and proud of it) for our year end slideshow, and slowly morphed into senior sessions of friends.

 

When I graduated high school in 2010, I knew that nothing could beat the feeling of capturing memories behind the lens of my camera.   I went on to graduate in 2014 from Texas State University (Go Bobcats!) with a degree in photography.

Fast forward to today:

I have been in the photography business for about 3 years and love every minute of it. My greatest pleasure is seeing my son smile, followed very closely by capturing memories for those who are kind enough to choose me as their photographer. I love capturing candid moments, where emotion/connection take over and for a split second, the subject forgets there is a camera in front of them.
